A Short Bio Of The Nigerian Rapper “Olamide”
Real names “Olamide Adedeji”, born March 15, 1989. Stage name; Olamide, born in Bariga, Lagos Nigeria.
He is a Nigerian Hip-Hop artist who raps preferably with his native language “Yoruba”.
After the demise of Dagrin, who was also a yoruba rapper, The industry was yearning for his replacement to inculcate and continue from him.
Olamide, signed to ID Cabasa’s Coded Tunes, came forth with his first official single “Eni Duro” in the year 2010 which enjoyed massive airplay and topped charts accross local radio stations in Lagos.
He debut his album “Rapsodi” in 2011 under “Coded Tunes” after which he decided to leave the record label to go independent.
In 2012, He went hot streak releasing hit singles like “Stupid Love, First Of All and Voice Of The Street” which made him the most prolific rapper in 2012.
He went on to release his sophomore album “YBNL” in November 2012 justifying his decision to go Independent a good one.
