According to the father of six, there are several situations he wishes he had approached differently, especially those shaped by emotional pressure and stress. While speaking on the podcast, 2Baba also revisited a controversial incident in London involving a disagreement with his wife, Natasha Osawaru, which led to his arrest in October 2025. The singer took responsibility for the episode, admitting that his reaction at the time was fueled by anger. “I was angry that day. It was an unfortunate incident,” the singer said. ‘It’s ridiculous, disrespectful to compare Fela with Wizkid’ – 2Face

Image
Ace musician, Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Face, has added his voice to the ongoing debate comparing singer Wizkid with the late Afrobeat pioneer Fela Anikulapo-Kuti. Wizkid sparked outrage after claiming he is “bigger” than Fela while responding to Seun Kuti’s criticisms of him and his fans over the comparison of the Ojuelegba crooner with the Afrobeat legend. Reacting in a snippet of the upcoming episode of the Mic On podcast, 2Face described the comparison “ridiculous,” emphasising that that it is both disrespectful to Fela’s legacy and unfair to Wizkid’s career. The African Queen crooner explained that placing Fela and Wizkid side by side ignores their different eras, impacts, and unique contributions to Nigerian music. “Comparing Fela with Wizkid is ridiculous. Apart from the fact that it is disrespectful to Fela, and at the same time, it is also unfair to Wizkid,” 2Face expressed.

Grammy loss: ‘Davido being frustrated for refusing to do demonic stuff’ – Cubana Chief Priest

Image
Nigerian socialite, Pascal Okechukwu, popularly known as Cubana Chief Priest, has alleged that singer, Davido’s losing streak at the Grammys was a deliberate attempt to frustrate and make him bend to the will of some white music executives, who want him to indulge in “demonic” activities. Davido lost out to South African star Tyla in the Best African Music Performance category at the 2026 Grammy Awards Ceremony on Sunday. Reacting via an Instagram post, Cubana Chiefpriest urged Davido to keep upholding his values and never compromise for alleged “demonic” Western music industry figures. He encouraged the singer to quickly move past the setback and keep releasing music and entertaining his fans. He wrote, “Oyibo dey do everything possible to break a strong man so he can do their demonic sh*t with them but he will never do ot. Heads up brother, open the bag and drop another hot one for us. E no dey finish, gbedu na water.”

Nigerian social media influencer, Vincent Martins Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, VDM, has reacted to South African singer, Tyla winning the Best African Music Performance category at the 2026 Grammys ahead of Nigerian stars, Ayra Starr, Wizkid, Burna Boy, Omah Lay and Davido. Tyla won the Best African Music Performance category with her hit song ‘Push 2 Start’ on Sunday night, making it her second win in the category since she won the inaugural award with ‘Water’ in 2024. However, moments after Tyla was announced, VDM released a video questioning her triumph. The self-styled critic said he would have preferred Davido to win the award to create “a balance” between the “Afrobeats Big 3” as his colleagues, Burna Boy and Wizkid already won Grammies. “Tyla again? Anyways, shoutout to Davido, Burna Boy, Ayra starr and Wizkid. You guys put in the efforts. “However, I will be very honest, I really wanted Davido to win so as to create balance. I like the cruise between the fans of the Af...
